Portfolio: Argos brand relaunch
For the corporate brand relaunch of Argos held at the NEC Birmingham, we produced a bespoke aerial act as part of the opening show with a cast of 30 performers including free runners, dancers, bike stunt artists, acrobats, rollerskaters and actors.
When it looked like the aerial act would have to be cut, due to the difficulty and expense of the rig installment for the aerialists to perform on, we managed to put forward our own aerial rigging partner who saved the day! Having worked closely with our independent rigger for many years – he specialises in performance aerial rigging, always finding the best and most cost effective solutions (we haven’t found a job he hasn’t managed to do so far) – the company was thrilled we could include the aerial act in their final show.
Our trio of aerial artists choreographed a synchronised piece to the music which had been composed specifically for the event. Working with multi-skilled performers our aerialists with dance backgrounds were also placed into the grand finale ensemble by the artistic director Michelle Thorne.
